This notice is written with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 in mind. It covers people who write to us, staff we meet on the floor, and, only when a practice chooses to show them, fragments of owner or pet records needed to read an app.
What we collect
From the contact form: name, email, kind of pet care room, optional app name, optional visit week, and your message.
From a reading: the practice name, site address, staff first names or roles, and copies or photographs of lists you give us (reminder logs, registers, occupancy screens). We ask you to mask national identity numbers and to avoid sending full owner address files unless a specific mismatch requires a sample.
From this website: the cookie described in our cookies page, if you accept analytics.
We do not ask for payment-card numbers on this site.
Why we use it
To answer your request, schedule a visit, write the reading, invoice the deposit and balance, and keep a record of what we already saw so a later visit does not start from nothing.
Retention
Enquiry emails without an engagement are kept for twelve months. Files for a completed reading are kept for twenty-four months after the briefing, then deleted from our desks and drives, unless a longer period is required for a fee dispute. Accounting records follow Malaysian tax retention rules.
Who we share with
We do not sell lists. We may share what you send with the colleague named on your reading (Aishah Rahman, Daniel Tan, or Mei Ling Wong). Accountants and, if required, Malaysian authorities may see invoices and the minimum identity needed to support them. We do not send pet-owner files to app vendors unless you instruct us in writing.
International transfers
Our email and file storage may be processed on servers outside Malaysia. Where that happens, we use suppliers who contract to protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA, and we limit the files we upload to what the reading needs.
Your rights
Subject to the PDPA, you may ask to access, correct, or limit the processing of your personal data, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on. Practices that showed us owner records remain responsible for those owners; we will delete or return copies on the practice’s written request after the retention rules above.
Children
This site is for pet care businesses, not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.
