A Kuching desk that still reads paper lists

Webcornerbase is a small reading practice in Kuching. We are hired by veterinary rooms, boarding kennels, catteries, and grooming tables that already pay for a pet care app and still keep a paper list they trust more.

The work began after a neighbour clinic asked one of us, then still at the reception window, why the booster reminders showed as sent while the chairs stayed empty. The vendor’s call that week spoke about charts. The nurse spoke about vials taken out too early. We sided with the vials.

How we work

We come to the room. We sit where we will not block a cat carrier. We read the app only beside the register, the kennel book, or the grooming thread that actually decides who walks in. Office 7, 26 Test Street is where we write; it is not a substitute for your floor.

We do not install software, resell licences, or take a cut from vendors. If a reading points at a setting your vendor can change, we write that in ordinary sentences and leave the call to you.

Malaysia, and this city

Kuching practices mix English, Bahasa Malaysia, and a dozen shortcuts at the desk. Owners message on WhatsApp even when the app has a button. Public holidays empty the book, then flood it. Rain on the Pending road makes Sunday boarding arrive as a note under the door. Those facts belong in a reading. A remote chart that ignores them is not a reading.

What we will not claim

We are not a veterinary practice, a boarding inspector, or a grooming school. We do not certify animal welfare. We do not publish league tables of apps. Credentials in this field, for us, are years at a real desk and the willingness to photograph a cage card next to a screen.
